Killarney Girls take home all Ireland Primary Schools Gold

Four Killarney Table Tennis players represented their school at the All Ireland National Schools in Dublin recently and took home 1st place for St Olivers National School, Ballycasheen. The Girls, Valentina, Clare, Kerry and Brielle acquitted themselves impeccably without losing a match.

The four are no strangers to the lime light however as they had only recently come back from representing their province at the Inter Provincial Championships in Enniskerry. The dedication being shown by the girls, training 3 nights a week in St Mary's Parish Hall is definitely delivering some fantastic results.

St Olivers have to be commended for continuing to provide the club with the raw talent that appears to be in abundance at the school. Special thanks has to go the the faith that the Principal has put in table tennis as a major sport in the school and without the support of Both Rory Darcy and Tommy Galvin table tennis would not be in as good a shape either in the school or in Killarney Table Tennis Club. Credit also has to be given to Ed and Michelle for bringing the team up to Dublin and looking after them.
